Everyone who comes through the door remarks on how peaceful Haven House is. Christians recognise the presence of God, while others express it by saying: 'What a beautiful atmosphere'.
One of our favourite comments is: 'The moment I walked through the door I felt happy from the toes up'!
We have had many prophetic words. A recurring one is 'church or house without walls'.

Sam’s story — in his own words (April 2004)
The way Haven House helped me.
My dad passed away in March 2004. He sexually abused me from 2 weeks old to 8 years. I then went into care.
When my dad passed away he cursed me, I spoke to my local Vicar who arranged a meeting in Haven House with the House manager and vicar, spoke to me and said a few prayers for me.
Haven House is very supportive.
Thank you, Haven House, for being there and thank you to God.

My dear child, I would love to be near to you. To feel your closeness around to you.
Having to realise that whatever the problem is indeed, needed, that I can say a prayer to You and in return that you believe and trust in me with your faith.
Let Me be your friend, healer. Allow me to empower in your weakness for when you are weak then you will be made strong. My strength is made perfect in your weakness.
Draw close to Me like wings to a prayer also to the wounds you bear.
